Get Started with The GXD
Once you contact us, one of our developers will initiate a communication thread with you. If you have an urgent issue that requires immediate attention, we’ll prioritise that. Otherwise, we’ll guide you through our onboarding process to get you set up in our system.
Onboarding
We will need your current web hosting and WordPress admin login credentials. If you are unsure how to obtain these, we can assist you. Alternatively, you can connect us with your web developer or previous maintenance agency.
We offer a secure online system where you can provide your login credentials. This system encrypts all the information you enter, and our team members can decrypt them only when they are working on your site. Additionally, you have access to a complete log of all logins entered, and the ability to clear any stored login credentials.
We will ensure that your website software is up to date. If any of your software is outdated, we will update it for you. To ensure that the update doesn’t break anything, we perform updates in a staging environment.
When you migrate your website to us, we conduct a comprehensive audit of the site to understand its functionality and ensure that we can fix any issues that may arise.
We set up daily backups for all the websites we host, allowing us to restore sites to a previous version up to 7 days back.
Billing
We don’t have a minimum subscription period, so you can subscribe for as long or as short a time as you need. Payment is made for the subscription period, and you can cancel anytime before the renewal date. Please note that we don’t offer refunds for early cancellations.
If you are not satisfied with our service, please let us know what the issue is and we will do our best to resolve it. We value your feedback and will take it into consideration as we work to improve our services. However, please note that we do not offer refunds for dissatisfaction with our service.
Our pricing page offers information on bulk discounts available to power users who add multiple sites. The discount increases with the number of sites added.
We only accept payment via Bank Transfer.
Our late fees consist of statutory interest, which is calculated as 8% plus the prevailing Bank of England Interest rate.
Tasks
The time it takes to complete a task may vary depending on its complexity. After we receive payment and book the work into our workload, we will provide you with estimated timeframes for completion.
Certainly, there is no restriction on the number of tasks that you can request. However, if there are multiple tasks for a single website, we may prioritise them to ensure that the work is not duplicated or conflicting.
Typically, a task refers to work that can be completed within two hours, but if you have any questions or need clarification, don’t hesitate to ask us. We’re always here to help.
Yes, we are open to custom task requests as long as they can be completed within a two-hour time frame.
Subscriptions
Certainly.
Purchasing a second site qualifies you for a 10% discount on the overall purchase. Acquiring a fourth site earns you a 25% discount on the overall purchase. Obtaining a tenth site entitles you to a 30% discount on the overall purchase. For purchases exceeding 20 sites, kindly reach out to us.
Please note that the aforementioned discounts are applicable only to the y and z plans.
The multi-site discounts are applied automatically once you meet the site threshold. For example, upon purchasing your second site, a 10% discount will be automatically applied, and all subsequent sites will be billed at the discounted price.
If you are changing the domain of your website, we can facilitate the transfer of your subscription. However, it is not possible to transfer the subscription between different sites. If you wish to use our services for a different site, you would need to subscribe to a new plan for that particular site.
To cancel, we request a notice period of one month, and we require written confirmation. You may send your cancellation request via email to enquiries@thegxd.com.
Backups
We will retain your backups for as long as you are hosted with us. Our backup system is designed to be efficient, with only the changes made to your site being stored. This allows us to keep daily snapshots of your site for up to 7 days.
Our hosting service provides website backups, but it cannot be used for backing up file storage or videos. We automatically block backups of common log and cache files, and it’s important to note that illegal content is strictly prohibited.
